Modest Country Home blends Craftsman and rustic cottage details in a welcoming custom home. Brown board-and-batten siding, soft contrasting trim and a full-width front porch give the exterior a warm, grounded feel. Wood-toned porch posts and an arched front door add character at the entrance.

Inside, sage green kitchen cabinets and a matching island bring color to the space. Wood floating shelves, light countertops and a white tile backsplash balance the cabinetry with simple, practical finishes. The living area continues the warm palette with a tray ceiling and a fireplace with a rustic wood mantel.

This project offers ideas for homeowners who prefer a country-home style with thoughtful interior details. Browse the photos for porch inspiration, kitchen color combinations and ways to carry a consistent style through a custom home.
