Jay Edwards
Jay EdwardsOwner/Operator
Jay Edwards is the owner of Southern Inspired Homes. He has always known that the road to success was winding and long. He was fortunate enough as a young boy to work alongside his grandfather to learn not only how to build that shed for his tractor but to learn many valuable lessons in money, planning and implementing. Together they built barns, roofed buildings and more. His grandfather was not a college graduate, but he taught Jay many things that he still appreciates and lives by today. He reminded Jay often to stay focused, get a good education, stay on the right path – no matter how difficult the traveling may be.

Jay is a graduate from Mt. Olive College where he received a four-year degree in Business Administration. During summer breaks, he worked with a construction company absorbing every aspect of the construction business. After years of working in a field unrelated to construction, he decided to pursue his dreams of owning his own company and that is when Southern Inspired Homes was founded. His goal is simple, to build every home like it’s his own. He wants each home to reflect quality, craftsmanship, and a truly custom home that exceeds each customers’ expectations.

David Carter serves as the Superintendent for Southern Inspired Homes, overseeing the day-to-day construction of every home we build. With over 35 years of experience in residential construction, David brings a broad understanding of the building process and a level of expertise that ensures every project is completed to the highest standards. From managing subcontractors to his expert craftsmanship, David plays a critical role in making sure each home is completed on time and to meet the expectations of our customers. His hands-on approach, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate and solve problems keep projects running efficiently.

At Southern Inspired Homes, we take pride in building homes the right way and David is a key part of that commitment. His decades of experience, strong work ethic, and dedication to craftsmanship help ensure that every home we deliver reflects the quality our clients expect.
